officially official

after years of wanting to start my own business, be my own boss and fill my days doing only the things that I absolutely love, i am happy to announce that i am officially a small business owner (literally, as in, recognized by the state of Texas).

home to three divisions of fabulousness:

Beauty&theBlush (makeup artistry), Stylishly Write (creative writing & blogging) and, Life is Pretty (personal styling – fashion and photoshoots)

i could’t help but laugh and dance around the living room (er, I mean my office) after receiving my letter in the mail today, signed  by the Secretary of State.

with an official business comes a new website (coming very soon), a new beauty&theblush blog (also coming soon), new logos, new designs, new opportunities. i am humbled by God’s awesome blessings every day – and i’m infinitely thankful for the unending support, encouragement and kind words i’ve received from so many of you.

what’s next? who knows! i’m just enjoying this magical, exciting, beautiful time in my life.

sinking in

so, i’ll admit… i sincerely thought i would have so much time on my hands by embarking on this new work-for-myself journey.

i envisioned myself at home, putting together a chic little home-office situation, flipping through the stack of piled up magazines to draw inspiration from, lazily browsing my favorite blogs, blogging away on my own….

<cut to reality>

since the start-up, i’ve been bouncing around from meeting to meeting, making phone calls, writing away for various clients, doing makeup consultations and photo shoots and filling my scarce free time with answering emails and setting up new meetings!

the good news? i couldn’t be happier. exhilarated. ecstatic. dizzy with excitement. living and breathing the things i love the most. the better news? this is only the beginning. it’s all starting to sink in.

{update} meetings today with my attorney went swell – my LLC is being formed as i type. more on that, a new website and brand launch news to come … so stay tuned.

things are happening – and fast, my friends. i’ll try to keep up!

i’m in hot pursuit to incorporate my two businesses under one domain, and i just can’t help but think i’ll need something a little sassier than Rayven Williams, LLC. who’s with me?

so, i am soliciting your opinion! i am on a quest to combine Beauty&theBlush and Stylishly Write under one roof. But what shall i call it …. thoughts??? i’d LOVE to hear from you!
